EARLY LEARNING CURRICULUM:

I believe in hands-on learning and that is what we practice at Lots of Cuddles & Care.  I have introduced a variety of different activities to help the children that I care for learn, grow and have fun. I am currently using the Lil’ Explorers Multi-Age preschool curriculum. We concentrate on numbers, letters, shapes, colors, pre-writing skills, cooking, music and more, focused around a monthly theme.  I will send your child home each day with a Daily Sheet filled with information about his/her day.

We have welcomed the Omaha Fire Department to teach us about fire safety and to let us explore a fire truck. We have been taught how to decorate our own cookies by a cookie designer. We have enjoyed such events as Track & Field day, Pajama day, Movie day, Holiday/Birthday parties etc. The children love to cook at LOCC. We have made homemade banana bread, pumpkin pudding, homemade applesauce, Kool-Aid playdoh and much more.  Twice per year we hold a donation drive for Project Harmony. In the winter we donate pajamas and Santa Claus always makes a special stop to LOCC for the children to sit on his lap to have their photo taken by a professional photographer. In the summer months we donate blankets and stuffed animals through Project Harmony. Giving to Project Harmony teaches children how to give back to their community. These are just a few things that we have enjoyed over the years. I am always looking for new and educational ideas to bring to my program. I am a member of Childcare Share provider’s group where we meet monthly to learn about different ways to enhance child care.

We would love to welcome another friend into our group. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
